Analyst, electoral forecaster and University of Virginia Robert Kent Gooch Professor of Politics Larry J. Sabato looks to continue his streak at the Emmy Awards this year, as his massive open online course The Kennedy Half Century has been nominated in the Best Instructional Programming category.
In its announcement, the university said Sabato's nomination is the first time a massive open online course has been nominated for an Emmy. The MOOC is available through Coursera.
A documentary version of The Kennedy Half Century last year took home the Emmy in the Best Historical Documentary category. Sabato previously won an Emmy in 2013 for the documentary Out of Order.
